Welcome to Sweet Cheeks Photography!
Good Afternoon and welcome to my first blog post!
For all you New England Patriots fans, we’re gearing up for game day and keeping our fingers crossed for a big W!
I wanted to introduce myself if you haven’t met me yet! My name is Stephanie, I'm a 39-year-old mother of 2 annoyingly lovable darlings, Jack & Claire. I’ve been married to my hubby Eric for 13 years, but we’ve known each other since we were kids, and have been together since 2005. Wild stuff, huh?
I love all things skin-care, I am easily and heavily influenced by cool projects and objects that would make my life easier, and I’m a Cabernet lover. I love reading, both audio and physical books, going on walks in my neighborhood, and re-watching my favorite sitcoms, which turn out to be FRIENDS, King of Queens and The Office. I love trivia, a good spicy margarita, and if I could ever get a babysitter, a quality meal with my husband.
I started my photography journey in late 2014, when my son was about 6 months old. He was my first muse! Form then on, I fell in love with learning the art of photography, especially photographing newborn babies (my true passion!) I borrowed people’s newborns for practice, and photographed them in my living room on a backdrop my husband made me from wooden planks. I found blankets and props at TJ Maxx, and slowly started to build my business. HUGE shoutout to all those with me from the very beginning. You know who you are!
From there, I slowly learned about Photoshop and Lightroom, editing tools, and the ever evolving learning curve that is mastering lighting. My business grew and grew, I had a LOT of word of mouth clients, and they continue to carry my business to this day.
We bought our first house in 2015, where I shot my sessions in my daughter’s room (before she was born!) You can check out my first promotional video for my business right here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_oLFVnFMXaA), videoed by the ever talented Peter Vong. It still gets me in my feels to this day!
From then on, we built a huge red barn on our property, where I did my studios in the upstairs loft for about 9 years. About 5 feet from my actual house, it was my ideal situation and served me beautifully! Anywho - I cannot wait to work with you and your family, it is my passion and my love to create art for you to decorate your home with. My real hope is that you look at your photos often and it makes you smile. I know I do.
